By booking an appointment or purchasing products from Resolution Acne Studio, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a professional, safe, and positive experience for all clients.
1. Payment and Late Fee Policy. Payment is due in full at the time of service. A valid credit card is required to secure an appointment, and any applicable late cancellation or no-show fees will be charged in accordance with the studio’s cancellation policy. In the event there are amounts owed after the time of service, the outstanding balance must be paid in full before the next treatment or within fourteen (14) days, whichever is earlier. Outstanding balances must be resolved before any future treatments will be provided. Any unpaid balance remaining after fourteen (14) days shall accrue a late fee of five percent (5%) of the outstanding amount per month, or the maximum rate permitted by law, whichever is lower. In the event that any amounts owed become delinquent and are referred to a collection agency or legal counsel for enforcement, the client shall be responsible for all costs of collection, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses, court costs, and any other fees incurred in the recovery of the outstanding balance.
2. Appointment Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Late Arrival Policy. Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a booked appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as no-shows, will incur a 40% cancellation fee, which will be charged to the card on file or must be paid before booking a new appointment. Arriving late to an appointment may result in a reduced treatment time, as appointments cannot always be extended due to scheduling constraints. If a treatment is shortened due to tardiness, the full service fee will still apply. Clients who arrive excessively late may be required to reschedule and will be subject to the cancellation fee.
3. Return and Refund Policy. Products purchased from Resolution Acne Studio may be returned within 30 days of purchase, provided they are unopened, unused, and in their original packaging. Due to hygiene and safety regulations, products that have been opened or used cannot be returned. Gift cards and promotional services are final sale and non-refundable. Refunds for eligible product returns will be issued in the original form of payment or as store credit, at the studio’s discretion.
4. Client Conduct and Hygiene. Clients are expected to maintain good personal hygiene and arrive for appointments in a clean and presentable state. Strong body odors or poor hygiene may result in the rescheduling or refusal of service at the esthetician’s discretion. Clients must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner while at Resolution Acne Studio. Any inappropriate, disruptive, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and may result in termination of services.
5. Right to Refuse Service. Resolution Acne Studio reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion in accordance with Oregon law. Service may be declined or discontinued for reasons including, but not limited to, the following:
If the requested treatment is contraindicated due to a client’s health condition, skin condition, or medication use.
If a client fails to follow recommended home care instructions or aftercare guidelines, which may compromise treatment results or safety.
If a client engages in disruptive, inappropriate, aggressive, or disrespectful behavior toward staff or other clients.
If a client poses a threat to the health or safety of the esthetician, staff, or other individuals.
If a client is found to be verbally abusive, harassing, or exhibiting inappropriate behavior in any manner.
If a client arrives under the influence of drugs or alcohol, which may impact their ability to consent to treatment or affect treatment safety.
If a client is refused service for any of the above reasons, they may not be eligible for a refund, and future bookings may be restricted or denied, at the studio’s discretion.
6. Medical Disclosure and Liability Waiver. Clients must disclose all relevant health and medical history before undergoing any treatment, including allergies, medications (both oral and topical), recent skin treatments, and any existing medical conditions. Failure to provide accurate and complete information may increase the risk of an adverse reaction and could result in the termination of services. While every effort is made to ensure a safe and effective treatment experience, clients acknowledge that Resolution Acne Studio and its staff are not medical professionals and do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. By undergoing any treatment, clients assume all risks associated with the service and agree not to hold Resolution Acne Studio, its employees, or affiliates liable for any adverse reactions or unforeseen complications, except to the extent of Resolution Acne Studio’s gross negligence or willful misconduct. Clients experiencing unexpected or severe reactions following a treatment should seek immediate medical attention.
7. Consent for Photography. For documentation and treatment tracking purposes, before-and-after photographs may be taken with the client’s consent. These photographs will be used solely for internal records unless the client provides written authorization for promotional or marketing use. Clients may choose to decline photography for promotional purposes without affecting their ability to receive services.
I consent to “before-and-after” photographs for the purpose of documentation, potential advertising, and promotional purposes which may include print, digital, and social media (check one):
☐ Yes, for all of the above
☐ For documentation and progress tracking only
☐ No photos
8. Appointment Policies and Studio Etiquette. To maintain a professional and relaxing environment, Resolution Acne Studio asks that clients silence their phones during treatment sessions and arrive unaccompanied unless a caregiver or guardian is necessary. Children and pets are not permitted in the treatment room for safety and sanitary reasons.
By booking an appointment, clients acknowledge and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Resolution Acne Studio reserves the right to update or modify these policies at any time. Any changes will be communicated via the studio’s website, booking platform, or in-person signage.
